To the Developers.

Having been watching this forum for a while now (Before the 2.1 release). I'm noticing we have about 6 or more different ROMs now. So Why not get together (all developers) and work on two ROMs a Blur version (for those that like Blur) and a non-Blur version.

This way we have our own official non-official ROMs, and work on them would be faster, and less clutter on the forums with to many ROMs. I know most developers like how they do things, but most of these ROMs are a slight variation to another ROM with this or that removed (not trying to knock your work, you've all done exceptional).

Also on a side note. Since we have the updated drivers for the Cliq in 2.1, is it possible to create a vanilla 2.2 ROM and add the drivers for the hardware into it, since tethering is already built into 2.2, as well as Apps2SD, and a few others?

Most if not all these rom's are Handlers leak, with a few minor adjustments like app's and what not, all aren't really no different.

Development progress will not get really far until Motorola release the official Motoblur with it's SDK, and once that has been done I will just use rom's from people who REALLY know what they are doing I.E HandlerExploit, TravisJames, Adlx and some others.

As i see it, a lot of the DEV's don't make ROM's for us, they make them for themselves and are kind enough to share them.

I prefer the choice, different DEV's have different ways of going about things. Blur Roms can be greatly different as can Non-blur ones, you can't just have 2 Roms im afraid

I think it makes perfect sense to have a master rom list post (like before with cupcake vs eclair roms) that concisely outlines the differences between all of the roms.

In response to the 2.2 rom, it would be nice if it was that easy, but 2.2 is designed for the .34 kernel, 2.1 and motorola only get us as far as the .29 kernel, leaving a lot of work still to do.
