    Awesome but....

This does give noticeable boost in speed but it gives force close randomly and eventually restarts my phone.

Can't wait until JIT is stable. This has a lot of potential.

the problem with this JIT here is that it is the eclair version. it was really buggy and very unstable. also the reason for a 50% boost versus 550% boost in the froyo version

I'm on adx 2.0, and my linpack is hovering around 3.5.. I'm wondering what could cause the slow down of .2 or so?

Although I am quite happy with the results! lol (Especially that 2.1 hasn't even been "released")

I haven't seen any instability. Where do those problems show up? (other than for blur roms, which seems to be the norm.)

in general the eclair JIT was very unstable. that's why cyanogen left it out of his eclair rom

Need to incorporate the JIT-compiler into the stock (AOSP) Eclair release that's becoming built (thanks to the leak) for the CLIQ/DEXT ... but everything needs to be carefully handled to actually get any speed boost.

    Why?
JIT is a memory hog, and some people complained it made their HTC Dream (G1) slower than before contradicting their higher Linpack scores.

So yeah, their's a little more room for comfort (64MB) with the CLIQ/DEXT than the HTC Dream due to 256MB vs 192MB RAM. In my opinion, they could've gone with about 330MB RAM (anymore wouldn't be worth the performance gain) with these processors.
