I'm coming from flashing on a HTC Dream first off. It's so easy to check radio version through bootloader no matter what the baseband version reads. Not on the Dext though it seems. I'm running j r0dd cliqmod b8 and recovery trying to unroot to send back to Tmo. My baseband version reads 76XXC-63805025-SDBALUM. How do I determine which .shx file to use to unroot this phone. My firmware version is 2.1{1** and my Blur Version is 2.0.26 Tmo en.US, Kernal 2.6.29. Skilled cliq users assistance please!
Why does it matter? Just flash stock shx (1.4.8). Baseband *is* the radio version and is certainly readable in about menu and with rsdlite.
All the threads talking about radio versions is about flashing non standard things to the phone in order to acheive root. You are just trying to do the opposite, which is a piece of cake for t-Mobile users since moto has provided you with a full shx/sbf firmware image.
Just making sure I dont flash a file with the wrong radio. With the HTC Dream, the SPL, Radio and ROM are all different files to flash. You do the wrong one or in the wrong order and your bricked. And the radios read different(of coures). Thanks though, now I know which one to flash and I cant get my replacements. Much appreciated!
They are all different on the cliq/dext too, but most modding avoids flashing a new radio to avoid stuffing things up for 850MHz 3G users. But those moto full firmwares replace everything, so that is exactly what you need to go to stock.
