Italy 3025 Radio

I flashed 76XXC-63805036-SDCBALUM.sbf(bootloader 5.18) and used it for some days.
Today I make a radio firmware based on EMARA_Retail_Italy_Viper_1.3.41_020_secure_P3_supe rmonster-customer.sbf(bootloader 5.17) ref jr33's 5036 radio firmware.
Bootloader of the new Italy radio firmware is 5.17,baseband:5025.
I flashed this radio firmware into my phone and it gives me real 3G speed.My carrier is China Mobile,3G:1900/2100.While The Italy Version Dext is WCDMA 850/1900/2100(Motorola DEXT - MOTOBLUR - telefono cellulare Android - Specifiche tecniche - Motorola Italia)
If your bootloader is 5.17 or below, you can give it a try.I am not resposible for your brick.

Flash the firmware(.sbf/.shx) by RSDLite v4.5.7 or greater. Google it. we can't link to RSDLite

P.S.:
1. When kb7sqi released the 1.3.18 rom, "BOOTLOADER USB INIT" happened to me. Then I flashed the 1.4.8 sbf firmware(bootloader 5.18) to make the phone alive.So I rooted it in HE' root method(Blur_Version.1.3.20.MB200.Orange.en.FR).
2. My bootloader now is 1446, also 1446 before I flashed the 1.4.8 sbf firmware(bootloader 5.18).
3. Phone: UK ORANGE DEXT.
4. I have 3g all the time(or as the phone displayed), but poor download speed(20-30KB/S).

Great discovery! This might be the solution for those Canada Bell DEXT users that jumped the gun and blew away their 850MHz 5030 radio by accident installing the Orange.FR firmware!!
Hmm, but on second thoughts, this radio won't flash onto 5.18 bootloader phones, will it? So maybe they are still out of luck?
And there I was thinking all of Europe was 900/1700/2100, and a little carrier in Italy has different frequencies ;-).

This radio will at least allow American Continent (Bell, Mexico, Brazil) users with the ancient 5012 radio to update the radio to properly support all the later 1.4.8 & 2.0.25 firmwares without the work-around patches that cause things like camera etc to not work (I think the work-around patches are simply using an old kernel boot.img, so now they can run the standard kernel using this 5025 radio). But let someone confirm who has no 3G due to flashing wrong 5025 radio first. Perhaps also that Motorola information about the frequencies is wrong for that Italian carrier?

Can you try it first on a standard Android 1.5? stock or Adlxmod, wichever you want, need to test on 1.5 before jumping to 2.1

And remember to get 3G, you also need to setup an appropriate APN. You won't get 3G until you have the right APN information setup in the mobile networks, "Access Point Names" add a new APN if you don't currently see anything listed in there.

I have two APNs "Telcel" and "Telcel MMS".
The default APN is Telcel with the next info:

apn: internet.itelcel.com
user: webgprs
pass: xxxxxx

After flash the file, I only have EDGE service.
Tomorrow I try the flash file with a one 1.5 ROM.

there has been rumors here in mexico that if you get your phone to telcel (carrier) they'll get you updated baseband 5025 with 3g running.

Ok, I had better have the warning: ONLY FLASH THIS IF YOU HAVE LOST 3G already due to flashing Orange.FR firmware onto your phone (handlerexploit method of rooting that uses the french firmware as step one which has BB5025 900/1700/2100MHz WCDMA radio). Do NOT flash this if you are trying to upgrade your radio from 5012 to 5025 until we can confirm that this 5025 radio will give you 3G (else you might lose 3G).

I was on 5026 already and flashed, still with edge. does this mean I have to reinstall the original telcel 5012 rom then apply this one?
Where can I know my bootloader version? it might be that that impedes me from restoring 3g

edit:my bootloader is 517... damn I'm so lost

rsd lite
flashed the sbd.
rebooted
Stuck in dec 1969
Installed another 2.1 rom (Barely blurred)
Everything working great

I use "droidexplorer" which is a PC app that does quite a lot with the phone, including a screen cap.
So it seems that 850MHz users with 5012 radios can finally get out of the dark ages (i.e old kernel to support the old radio, which means limited f/w support for various later cupcake/eclair/.... mods that people have brought out), and now get into the modern ages with a radio, that, while not the most latest (we have had 5030 and now 5036) at least gives support for most (all?) of what the 2.1 leak brings (many are running that leak on 5025 radios with no probs, I am a 900/2100 user here so flashed the 5036 radio upgrade, but poor 850/1900 users don't have that luxury... yet!)

I'm stuck... flashed the italy 5025 radio provided. I had lost beforehand 3g due to upgrading to 2.0.25

It hasnt changed my 2g status... I could really use a step by step solution for 2.0.25 users... have no idea what to do...

I feel such a noob
