Booloader lost trying to root using the old method, HELP!!!

Well here it goes, while attempting to root the wife's cliq, somehow someway, the bootloader screen has disappeared. I was using the old method(the dudes root using rsd lite) since this is how i did mine about five months ago. Now when i turn the phone into bootloader, I press volume down, and the screen goes black, even though adb still shows it being connected. So now I am stuck with no bootloader screen, and cannot get passed the moto blur login because the radio is turned off....HELP!!!!!!

Use a bright torch to look at the screen. I had this issue when going forwards and backwards once or twice (and flashing stock US 1.4.8 over the top of a mess I created when trying to flash a system I was shoe-horning into something). The torch lets you see the screen, and also, seems to be detected by the phone light sensor and it switches the backlight ON!! (the light detection seems to get inverted or something).
