Why these kernel sources are not used?
Helow
As i was reading mororola opensource projects, i got that the dext/cliq source are here, including kernel
https://opensource.motorola.com/sf/s...jects.cliqdext
the fact is that these kernes are 2.6.27 and we have 2.6.29. but we have sources. I wonder why we can not use them, a tech explication because as I see as linux admin 2 micro versions below is okay meanwhile all modules and images are compilled.
TIA

Those are sources from a previous Kernel (2.6.27) used in 1.5, now 2.1 use the new Kernel (2.6.29) and until moto releases it, no changes can be made at custom Kernel.
Phone: Motorola DEXT (Mx)
ROM: adlxmod 2.1
Radio: 5025 850MHz radio version
Recovery: j_r0dd-mb200-v1.7.5.1

we have already requested they publish the src (see https://opensource.motorola.com/sf/d...=1284542227078), but as long as it is not an official release, no luck.

Yes, but you havent answer my question, why can we downgrade android2.1 kernel to use that. It is just a kernel. If 2.6.27 works well with hardware this mean it wil woorkin with android2.1.
Do we have the .config kernel configuration right?
