    New ideas for upcoming ROMs

    I know the priority with cooked/custom ROMs are firstly stability then response then functionality (get everything working) ... and then polishing up the build.

    But I just came across this, and I think its a pretty sweet design and one that should be available.
    It called MIUI (mee-yough?) and its basically awesome because it borrows the strengths of both Andriod and iOS and makes it into a hybrid that's very intuitive but supports advanced features.

    Here are some demo's:

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w3Llz40hfpo]YouTube - Android + iPhone = BEST. ROM. EVER. "Crazy for you!!!"[/ame]
    (notice in the Music App, the panels at the top should be at the bottom to keep consistency like the Home page, Contacts page and the Dialer.)

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x6yY53Kcc0w]YouTube - MIUI ROM for Original Motorola DROID[/ame]

    And like it was stated, its the little things that add up and make or break the user experience. I'm sure there is an ALL-English MIUI ROM out there and if not there will be one soon (cyanogenMOD, xda etc). I personally haven't tried any.

    I'm sorry if this was suggested before, this to me seems important... sticky it?

    Excellent! If our devs would port this to MDPI devices like the Cliq, I'm considering trying this ROM out.

    Home Rig: MSI GX620 > Gamma-1 Lite > Little Dot MKIII > M-Audio Studiophile AV30
    Portable Rig: Cowon S9/Motorola Cliq > Sennheiser HD 25-1 II

    For a text-breakdown see:

    [Q] WOW : MIUI is this possible on Milestone?! - Page 2 - xda-developers

    Though this is an awesome ROM, there is room for improvement, which is discussed in that post.
    Apparently (rumour) this will be making its way into an official cyanogenMOD build, and if that happens that should be much easier for developers to apply for the Cliq/DEXT.

    Enjoy
