Then there is a problem with your connection, search for terminal emulator in the market then run "flash_image boot /sdcard/boot.img" from the app
or you could try to fix the usb connection, maybe use a different usb port or reboot your phone

alright well i guess i somewhat figured this out...im usuing jr0dd's official...let me explain what i did
i extracted the .xml file and put it into my sdk tools folder. then i got the boot.img and put it into my sdcard...
from there i opened a command prompt in my sdk tools folder and typed in adb remount
then i typed in the command
Adb push android.hardware.touchscreen.multitouch.xml /system/etc/permissions which gave me some numbers and letters
after that went on connectbot and typed flash_image boot /sdcard/boot.img
after that i turned my phone off and then powered it up again and got a boot loop...what did i do wrong? can someone give me a somewhat detailed step by step way of doing this...again im sorry for being such a retard on this...i just did a nandroid restore so im back to normal at the moment

I got a boot loop when I installed too I'm using one of the 2.1.5 ROMs I think the boot.img just does not work with some ROMs I'll probably flash a different ROM just to see later

I hope u guys did a nand backup first.
so for the noobs..because of the new boot.img it will take about 5-10 mins for it to load up.
I also suggest that if you are using aps2sd that you disable it first because it will delete everything that u worked hard for.
When I tested it it ran pretty well. Pinch to zoom was working in the browser and in maps. I didn't try it for the photo gallery. I didn't have any issues with it. The Function ROM supports aps2sd so be on the look out for a custom ROM to hit the threads...not by me tho.

The newest Adlxmod DOES have multitouch... so does J-Rodd's ROM. You know this page, right?
