I tried it on VwE 1.2 and j_r0dd's 1.3.1, works on both flawlessly.

Just delete MarketUpdater.apk in /system/app/
clear cache and install using appsinstaller or any other apk installer of your choice. enjoy

com.android.vending_2.2.6.apk

Thanks this method worked for me. I've been trying to install this since they released it @ SA. This Market is nice! You should put a screenie!

I should, but I can't since I just got done repartitioning my sd card. I'm gonna try and see if I can get oc to work on j-r0dd's rom again using ext 2 instead of ext 4.

Can you get the new youtube app from this? If not is there a way because i know it's only available for 2.2?

You can install the new YouTube application on 2.1 but there is a problem when you try to log in and view your account. It will FC and you'll end up having to go back to the previous variant of your tube for it to work correctly again. I tried it on my Magic and my wife's old Cliq.

Basically you have to download the .apk for the FroYo youtube and save it to the SDcard in the ZIP format, then delete the current youtube.apk from the -ro- section of the phone then install the .apk to the phone.

Works great on Handler's VwE 1.2. Little laggy at first but one everything is cached seems to work fine. Thanks!

EDIT: I should mention that all I did to install the new Market was to just tap on the apk file from within Root Explorer. No need to wipe anything or delete any files.

Also working on adlxmod 2.1.5-2qf1. I also used this method to install.
