Ging3rCliq Alpha 1 - Gingerbread for the Cliq - Simply Android
I've managed to produce a working build of gingerbread for the Cliq/Dext, so I thought I'd share it with the community...

BEFORE YOU DOWNLOAD, THIS IS AN EARLY BUILD NOT SUITABLE FOR DAILY USE.

That said, here's the detail:

Pure AOSP build of Gingerbread.

What works?
•Calls/SMS
•Sound (but not headphone socket yet... give me a chance the source only landed a few days ago!)
•Touch screen
•Wifi
Data doesn't work for me, but that's probably my SIM (I've had the same problem with every other AOSP ROM; I was 70% there with a fix when Gingerbread distracted me... I'll be returning there soon).

You may be able to get data working in the same way that worked for Eclair2CLIQ; if I could add this and test it I would, but with my annoying SIM there's just no way.

What doesn't?
None of the other hardware is functional yet (gps, camera, accelerometer etc).
Key mappings are a bit broken

There are no Google apps on this rom, but if you were to flash the apps from the cyanogen wiki page then they should be fine (I know I did!). Thanks to sudo.adam for pointing me in that direction...

Known issues:
Missing GPS stuff causes several apps to break when trying to obtain location.
Headphones don't seem to work.

Instructions:
Copy it to your SD card, flash with your favourite recovery, and wipe (then flash the gapps update from cyanogen if you're so inclined).

Uh dude, I think you've got the wrong forum. this is the BACKFLIP forum. not the cliq forum.

It clearly host the Link to SA and he is just simply copying and pasting what brettu posted. It didn't even look like hexpor wanted credit for it.

should team up with toxicgenpoem because he started 2.3 for Cliq 2 weeks ago, this way we can get the rom developed faster into a everday rom

someone else copied the froyo rom and posted it here and the developer of it wasn't very happy when he saw it..

Just saying, This isn't his ROM, last time this happened with FrigidCliq Alpha 2, sudoadam (The developer) was pretty ticked off about it. Apart from that, the ROM is working quite well but is a bit slow at the moment.
