Hi all. I have fully read some articles for upgrading my new Motorola Dext (italian version) to the newest Adlxmod 2.1.5-2 (Android 2.1).
I have fully read the "4-R method" (Rooting-Radio-Recovery and finally ROM) but since I have 5025 radio, I think I can apply the "3-R method" bypassing upgrading the radio and applying the 3G-safe upgrade (Rooting-Recovery and ROM). Right?
Some questions:
1. My Dext has the 1.5 original firmware version, so adlxmod says that I have TO WIPE ALL in recovery mode before upgrading the ROM: can that erase also my original 5025 radio?
2. I am an Italian phone-user: can I use "Adlxmod 2.1.5-2 - Full Rom (not patch) - WIPE" that comes without radio (safer for 3G)? Is that ROM fully compatible with my "italian-environment"?
3. My phone has 2.6.27 kernel. As I know, I don't need a newest kernel, right?
4. The kernel and radio are ever protected from the WIPE method and from flashing-ROM function included in recovery-mode?
5. RSD Lite is a Motorola diag-application. What can I do with that without a rooted phone?
I'm sorry for using italian but it was the fastest way to close the thread
If admins want, please move to general or close the thread. bye bye
However Jr0dd rules!!!
