I'm assuming any tag that is not recognized will be ignored, right? So if a themer wants to add notes, they could add a <notes> tag or <message> or something, right? Or does it have to be a specific tag?

I meant the notes at the bottom of a .thm.

Example:

notes, etc, etc,

Also, though, I just wanted to make sure what happens to random tags.

if you leave the field empty it is fine but i think you need to still have the start & end tags.

I just updated the conversion program to version 1.0.

It should be fully functional. Every existing theme should convert properly.

Please let me know if there are any bugs.

Having some probs with v1.0.

1. When opening any .thm file I get the 'File Exists' dialog.
2. When converting said .thm I get a error that there was a prob with the .thm file and to check to make sure the file was created correctly.

I have attached the theme .thm and created .xml for your review(HexFusionBlueStock). I appears that the framework-res.apk portion of the file is the only thing that does not convert.
Interestingly, when converting a .thm that only has a framework-res.apk there isn't an issue (see attached PullDownEditor).
Could this be related to moving Framework to the end?

Ok, I took a look at it.

I'm also seeing the first problem you mentioned. I'll check my code and release a fix for that. Thanks for pointing it out

The second problem is actually with the .thm file. Stericson's specifications for the original .thm files are that after the modded files and locations are listed, there must be two blank spaces before additional notes can be added. I asked him about single blank lines, and he said those are ignored.

So the converter found the "By PMilzie" and thought it was a new item. It couldn't find a location, so it caused the conversion to end. And since it waits until all conversions are done before adding the framework, the framework was never added.

I'll see if I can tweak the code such that if there's an error, it still adds the framework in.

Nice thanks Danation. I took your lead and put an extra space between the framework and note. Works like a charm. I'll need to go through the themes I have and make sure the authors have that extra space.

Both bugs are fixed and the new version has been uploaded to Post #10 of this thread (here). Thanks again for pointing out the problems.

Added drag and drop for convenience.

Final version is done (unless there are bug reports or feature requests.)

Drag and drop directories.

All .thm files in the directory and all subdirectories will be converted. Other files are ignored.

Convert all of your themes at once

Themes that have already been converted won't be damaged.
