i have looked but im not sure for sure......what is a seem edit to make my date come back insted of the word EDGE..
seem 00332_0001
offset 89 bit 2 ..icon (E)?
offset 89 bit 3 ..text (EDGE)? i may be totaly off but thats why im asking.................thanks dan

My date is only replaced by the words EDGE ( while surfing on my phone), or EDGEActive (when tethered to my PC) when I'm actually using Opera Mini. When it's not in use, the date comes back. And really, do you have to know what the date is if you are on the internet? If its that critical, just exit the browser or look at the calendar.

not really...it shows all the time on mine regardless...jus was wonering if it was a bug or w/e

Hmmm.... It doesn't do that at all on mine. Try reflashing a previous backup before you enabled EDGE. Then check bits 2+3 in offset 89, and install these seems. Thats all I did, and it works great.

thats wat i did....mus be the stupid .25R f/w? eh go figure! ...once i figured how to crack it this happens! lol

im in the same boat...thats what i did to but the word stays EDGE stays untill i have it in airplane mode or i dont have signal then i see the date...danm .25R

theres got to be a seem or something...i'm working on it...

One small thing. My unmodded offset 89 had bit 6 checked . I unchecked it and checked 2&3. If you left it checked , that might be the problem .

it changes then changes back to edge when edge is picked up...
