NEED a LITTLE help, i almost got it to WORK

i installed all this crap of this website about motorolas.... p2k and udi and stuff.. i have a slvr l7 with itunes... i have the USB cord and when i use AOL to use the motorola phone modem... it works somewhat.. . the phone says it is dialing the access number and then some weird tone bleeps real quickly in the earpiece of the phone and the call drops... i was so close to turning my phone into a fax modem so i can use my laptop and connect to the internet through the phone via dialing an aol access number... can anyone help me solve this problem?? the aol conection log says some weird error number...

as far as i n i dont think you can use it like that. atleast thats what the said on motomodders about my razor the said i had to use my websession from cingular.

You don't use AOL for anything when you mod.

My phone works as a modem... That's the regular conection you get when you install it with MPT. There's no need at all of p2k drivers.

I cant get MPT to wark wit my SLVR it says there isnt the right drivers... but it works with a regular dial up ISP???

You should be able to, if you have the required service.

who knows with aol......they do everything upside down and backwards.....but my l7 shows up if i go to my modems list....so i figure it would work...never tried it though...would probably be extremely slow if it did work.

I use netzero not AOL. But the speed has to better than normal dail-up.

Yeah it shows up on mine to but when i try to use it netzero says modem not respoding.

You mean cingulars? yeh but thats no what i want to use i want to use it as a dial up modem
