i am new to the world of moto modding, i mod videogames, i thought i should expand my horizons and customize my new slvr l7

but im kinda scared.. i dont wanna ruin it *any suggestions*

and it came with itunes on it but i was wondering if someone could help me get the hacked itunes with the 1000 song cap on my phone insted of the normal stock itunes, and i also want to put some skins on my phone

I used to be pretty scared too, but as long as you backup before you try (that's super important) and follow directions carefully, there's not much you can do to permenantly screw up your phone. Just take your time with it.

ok so i just save the stock files before i mess with anything and ill be ok?

i dont think you can permanitly mess up my fone just by attempting to put a skin on can i?

well, not permanetly...
I recommend you to crate a full backup before ANY modding. Use flash&backup3 (paid version, since the trial does not allow a full backup). If your phone is an unbranded stock L7, we have full backups (MPs) in the download section, plus also backups of the seem 0032_0001 and mma_ucp files.

ok heres the thing my slvr is branded, its cingular

can i still just use the backups here in the downloads section?

and one more thing,
if i have the hacked itunes can i use a 2 gb sd card and be able to take advantage of the full 2 gb? or will it only allow one gb?

You can use ONLY R4517 f/w's from the downloads section. Also, the phone can't read any 2GB memory card.
