Solution nice way to put in more songs in ur L7!!!

guys...i found out a way to decrease the size of ur mp3's by approx 1/2-1/3rd of original size wid a very small loss in quality of sound....i have been using NERO WAVE EDITOR and converting my mp3's to mp3 pro format and the size reduced drastically though the sound quality was reasonably good...acc. to me the only "audible" loss was the reduction in bass...thts it...tht works for me and i m more than happy to squeeze in about 30 songs in my 128mb card!!

It's normal, since mp3PRO reduces a sample frequency to 32 or even 24 KHz instead of 48 KHz in mp3. That way even 64 kbps is enough for good sound, but it's pretty lossy.

me personal, i use Cool Edit, and i convert the mp3 to 64kbps, and on the headphones i listen on the same way, i dont lose so much quality of sound, just lose weight.
