Got a Bricked L7

I received what looks to be a black Motorola L7 SLVR. It was a gift from my G'F's aunt because my phone quit working. So when i recieved the phone i tried to plug it in and it wouldn't charge. So i bought a new battery and all i can get is the flash screen (I Have a good deal of experiance with my brothers v3xx i modded for him) so i knew what it is and what its telling me. Problem is when i try to boot an mp that should work with the bootloader and firmware i just keep getting the flash screen. Any ideas?

Btw i have bootloader 0A.20
and Sw Version R4517_G_08.C4.1ER

And if i get it running what is the best course of firmware? For example do i have to stay with the 0A.20?

And again any help is extremely appreciated.

sorry i probably shouldn't have asked so many questions in the first post. Just to simplify, I got phone, phone is stuck in boot screen, sw versionR4517_G_08.C4.1ER
with boot loader 0A.20. I just need to get something to take so it will start up.
So any advice on how to get it working is all i need right now, I can deal with other stuff once its working.

downgrade ur boot loader and flash any PDS patched MP

stick to your FW right now,
i don't remember, which FW was the sticky one.(.25R or something) I'll post again, as soon as i get time to look whihc one :P

1ER is not a sticky fw as this guide states.

There is a guide for flashing 4513 over 4517 here.

And for future reference, lurch1363, 0A.20 is not a firmware, it's the bootloader. Firmware is something like acr, dar, dcr, 1er etc.

ok so im going to use got moto to possibly unlock my phone and then force blank mode so i can use boot loader 08.d0 and im going to use the motobeauty 2 mp because it is already pds patched. I will keep everyone updated. and before i go through with this i have two questions, number one is is there any positive to staying with 0A.20 or is 08.D0 better? and two is what is the best firmware version of R4513?

ok is there any way to fix it without got moto?
having a hard time getting a user name and password.

You can use any of the newest mp's they are all pds patched, motobeauty is kinda old, but if you want, stick with it;
The 0A.20 bootloader is less moddable - the 08.D0 is the version you should stick with. It has many mods, mp's and stuff. All modding world of L7 runs on 08.D0;
The firmwares. There is a thread (poll) on the L7 firmware section dedicated to firmware versions. ACR is in the lead now, as far as I know it's the best one for L7 - it has the most mods. If you want detailed information about different firmware versions, press HERE.

As for the got moto method, I'm uncertain. You can check THIS guide, but I'm not sure.

I did the GOT_MOTO method, downgraded bootloader and went with motobeauty (for now, just wanted to find an MP that gave a signal) Worked great.

Will try the other method using dualboot and F&B3 to change it on my daughter's phone next to avoid the GOT_MOTO part. (Even tho it went smooth)

well i tried the dual boot method last night and all it did was get rid of the error message that was on my flash screen, unfortunately the flash screen is still all i can see. Is there any way to get my phone to boot a 0A.20 mp or do i need to go to 08.D0 to see it work. I would like to switch, but for now just want to get the phone to boot. I have already tried loading several 0A.20 mp's but to no avail.

to go abck, you'll ahve to PDS repair your phone.just follow the guide, which you saw, to come to 08.d0, and reverse it..

sorry about that :P

anyways, well, if you et the dual boot method to work, then use that to get into blank mode, just reverse the proc.. do everything, except for using got_moto, to go to blank mode.

ya the phone is stuck in flash mode no matter what at the moment. I tried the dualboot method and all it did was give me the phone sig reg error. which the guide said is fine. So im confused, but i can't find a day pass. Only month passes so far and i really don't need it for a month.

can't suggest you anything regarding the got_moto.

well, if you are able to use te phone with 08.d0 bootloader, then flash a MP, with dualboot(suggestion:samel, or powerful,killermoto and others, read the details.)
boot to blank mode, then follow the guide.
