sync contacts

my g1 is having some glitches and i want to sync my contacts to my computer so i can have them later on and also how do i completely restore the g1 phone

To my (limited) knowledge, the best way to back it up is to make sure its syncing with your gmail account. If its not, write down all you contacts or if you have the opportunity (due to location) go to a Best Buy Mobile bring a flash drive and have them use there mobile genie to do a back up of contacts.

Restoring is going to Menu>Settings>SD card & Phone Storage>Factory Data Reset

and then reactivate it and allow it to re sync with you gmail account.

Or you can go to your gmail acct associated with your G1 and export the contacts to a CSV file. You can then import those contacts into Outlook / Thunderbird
