Why does cliq want picasa and photobucket accounts?

When I first got my Cliq and it asked for my picasa and photobucket accounts, I imagined a widget that scrolled those pictures, or the phone automatically adding all those pictures to my phones photo gallery. Now that I've used it for a few weeks, I don't see how those accounts are used at all! Does anyone know how they are used on the Cliq?

I believe when you take pictures, it gives you an option to upload them to your accounts.
