Galaxy S or Milestone 2?

So I'm about to change my phone. I'm trying to decide between a Galaxy S, and a Milestone 2, as they're the only phones I can get. I like M2's Keyboard, but the Galaxy's screen seems better. But I'd like to know, in terms of modding, which one of these would be better, and if any of them is bound to get ICS.

What are your ideas?

You can go for the Moto Razr, which is expected to get ICS in early 2012.

The thing is, as I live in Argentina, the phone will either take too long to be released here, or not be released at all. Plus it would be quite expensive, I believe.

I would go with the galaxy s if those were my two choices. If you are looking to root and mod you will most likely see ics for the galaxy s unofficially before it would ever become official.

I'd also go with the SGS, i rarely use my Droid's keyboard as i got used to just using the keyboard screen and I'm quite faster on it than on the physical one, i only use the physical when I'm in class and i have to send a message and i have to type without watching the screen or when I'm writing long emails (or long answers on M3), plus modding on the Galaxy is bigger than on virtually any Droid as far as i can tell.

SGS voter here also.if for no other reason then the dev support for that line of phones. Also google brick proof mod....little bit of solder and bang...brick proof....

Note that 'brickproof' hardware mod is not for the Sunday modder. Needs technical knowledge and somewhat specialized tools.

I'm with Soumya; latest and greatest always most future-proof. (But hardest to mod, if that's what you're going for.)

SGS and MS2 may not have hardware capability for ICS, as phoenixsong6 has indicated. Check mfgs' update forecasts for the phones.

SGS if not S2 per avail. Great battery life, heap of mods and custom roms.

Not really, I mad a JIG incase I "bricked" my SGS in about 20 minutes.

The SGS DOES have the hardware for ICS as it's the same as the Nexus S which is the SAME hardware, I'm running ICS on my SGS and it's as smooth as butter minus a few bugs but it's in RC stage.

Personally I'd go for the SGS but if you want/need a keyboard and don't care about modding get the MS2

Atrix, really? Motos these days are so locked-down as far as mods go and so many ways to hard brick them... really isn't a Moto decade anymore.

Get the Atrix 4G, it's quite moddable and will blow both of these phones easily.

S2 can only blow devices in its own league (480x800) definitly not the atrix or other qhd motorola's.
