welcome. ill tell you stuff about android.
1) android is google, the os was made by google.
2) android is open, as in open source. you can make android for a phone
3) android likes apps. the reason why developers like android is because the android os is about mobile apps.
4) unlike apple, googles android sdk is free, and if you know code, develope and app.

Android is like having a Ferrari with a 2 gallon fuel tank. Its sexy, sleek, fast, lets you do whatever your mind desires, but runs out of juice before you know it too.
Apple is like a Smart car with only 1 pedal, lots of useless trinkets hanging from the ceiling blocking your sight, and all the mirrors show whats ahead rather than behind.
Nokia is like your daily driver- not that special, not that fun, but it actually gets your places EVERY day without much fail.

My D2G last usually 1 day on single charge and normal use, but my E8 last usually 2 or 3 days just listening to music from time to time and a couple callings each day, and my sister's iThing 4, last about the same as my D2G
