Asus thinking Eee PC and Eee Phone based on Android

It seems enthusiatic developers are not the only ones porting Android to Eee PC. Speaking at CES, Asus CEO - Johnny Shih said that the company was looking at bringing Android to Eee PC.
He added that Asus was also looking at an Eee-branded phone running Android. It is known that Asus is working on a 3G Android phone which it plans to launch first in the regional Taiwanese market in Q1 and will probably sell it under brand name Eee phone.
Shih said that they were looking at developing simple, easy to use devices, translated as a device that can be “put in the pocket, play MP3s, offer GPS services, works like a PDA and offers Mobile TV altogether.”
This is one of the first Android-y news coming from CES, hopefully there is more to come.

I have an ASUS Eee! That would rock to dual boot it with Android!

then good news marysvillemojo... you can easily get your hands on one of the touch screen kits for the eee pc off ebay, build all the electrics behind the dash, and then have a cut away to refit the screen panel... the only trouble is where to mount the keyboard... you could always use Gmote?

remote droid would be better... so keyboard and mouse worked on the G1... but I would prolly also get a wireless keyboard and mouse combo and keep em in the glove box :P
