Multitouch Finally!

We all know about the hidden multitouch capabilities of G1. Although the proof has existed for a while now, it wasn't ready for everyday use, but on this day and time, thanks to lukehutch, JF, zinx and ryebrye, we have a usable multitouch functionality.
Luke Hutchison posted how he got this working on his blog alongwith source code and screenshots for several multi-touch demo applications like Browser, Maps etc.

JF has released v1.4 of his modded firmware which supports multitouch. So if you have already modded your gphone, this is as simple as doing an update, if not, it's high time you did!

I just updated to 1.4, and now it says the IM app is no longer installed on my phone. Has anyone else had that happen? If so, any ideas on how I can get it back?
edit: I did a factory reset and got google talk back, but not AIM or Yahoo...0000001, 00000011

So this is actually incorporated into the OS? Not just an app to play with?

There is a patched Browser app which takes advantage of it. You can see Luke's blog post for apks of some other example programs. Also it seems there is a class file you can utilize in your own programs.

I updated from JF 1.3.1 to 1.4.1 (RC8) and it works perfect. everything as it should.
The missing IM issue is a result from installing adp, not US RC30 or UK RC8.

I dropped my data plan, so I wanted to install ADP1.1. Per JesusFreke's post on xda-developers: "One thing that I would like to point out about the ADP1.1 build is that it allows you to skip the initial google registration. This will make registering over wifi painless."
I would actually like to have MyFaves on ADP1.1. Is there any way possible that I could accomplish this? Could I install it somehow?
