My G1 is on the RC-33, can I update to cupcake? Because on the guide it's with RC-29...
Ok, this question is maybe really stupid but I don't want to kill my phone as I live in Belgium and can't send it back if I do something wrong :$
Thank you for any help

The link is for non-rooted US G1. For rooted phones try this link.
The guide is just for reference, you can use that guide for updating any version.

Do I name the whole unzipped/zipped folder update and put it in the sd card? And also where on the sd card does it go?

download the file folder to your desktop. keep the folder zipped ,rename the folder to update then connect your g1 to your computer. select usb connect on g1. open your sd card then just drag and drop your renamed file to your sd card. then follow this. http://www.modmygphone.com/wiki/inde...mware_manually
