Firefox Mobile Browser On The Way!
People have been wanting a mobile version of the Firefox web browser for a long time. We are finally getting very close to an Android version. Actually if you don't mind a whole lot of bugs, you can have it now! It's called "Fennec" and it's in the very beginnings of the Alpha stage. Alpha 1 to be exact. The version for ARMv7 processors is in much better shape at this point than the ARMv6 version, but both ARE available for download now in "nightly build" versions. Personally I tried the ARMv6 version on my MyTouch 3G 1.2 and from what I saw, I'm excited. However, all I got to see was the start page. After it loads, it crashes for me every time. But, I am the kind to keep testing the builds until I get to play with it a little.
The ARMv7 version is being developed on an HTC/Google Nexus One, but SHOULD work on the following as well:
Acer Liquid E
Dell Streak
HTC Desire
HTC Droid Incredible
HTC EVO 4G
Motorola Droid 2
Motorola Droid X
Motorola Milestone (Verizon Droid)
Samsung Galaxy S (AT&T Captivate, T-Mobile Vibrant, Sprint Epic 4G)
The following are NOT supported under the ARMv7 version but MAY work with the ARMv6 version:
Android SDK emulator
Augen GENTouch 7" Tablet
HTC Aria
HTC Dream (T-Mobile G1, Android Dev Phone 1)
HTC Droid Eris
HTC Hero (T-Mobile G2 Touch)
HTC Legend
HTC Magic (T-Mobile myTouch 3G, T-Mobile G1 Touch)
HTC Tattoo
HTC Wildfire
Huawei U8230
LG Ally
Motorola Backflip
Samsung Moment
Samsung Spica i5700
For all the details and download links for the alpha versions, head on over to the Official "Firefox for Android" Page.

The ARMv6 version is showing improvement already. It is lasting a little longer before crashing.

In the weeks since Mozilla has released the first Firefox browser for mobile phones, we had a better chance to explore the Internet on the Nokia N900. Firefox for Maemo, which called, is also available for the N810 Internet tablet.
Go to some comments on First Look video here, and remember that the extensions, in particular, is the most significant innovation in the mobile Firefox browser.
There are some limitations in dealing with the screenshot of Firefox Add-ons. First of all, search engine icons you see when you start the search (Google, Wikipedia, or so) is calculated as pre-installed add-ons. This makes their removal easy, but we also need space in the Manage Add-ons, which is hitting against Firefox Maemo to maximize screen real estate is the gold standard for the mobile experience. In this case, that precious space dedicated exclusively to show add-ons.
