BUT, you can upgrade to Android 2.1 using the Preclair rom no matter what country you are in. It is based off the official 2.1 but with many performance improvements and bloatware removed. If you live outside the US and want 2.1 use preclair. Be sure to do your research because you need to flash the Italian radio in most cases. I dont know the specifics of the IT Radio though so just use the great search function we have here.
