L7 connects in my computer but not p2k?
I'm obviously new here and I'm interested in learning how to modmymoto
I don't have anything that originally came with the phone because I recently found it in the snow and decided to restore it.
Since I don't have the right cables to hook it up to my computer, I'm using a cable from my TI 89 calculator that connects the same way.
The cable charges the phone, and I can access some things threw my computer, it shows up as a drive and everything, but when I use the p2k tools to get the info, it doesn't read?
Maybe I'm using the wrong editing stuff? Not to sure lol. Help would be appreciated

Hmm, I only have a 32 bit, and the link for that one is missing, will a 64 bit work on a 32?

I don't think that the hardware was installed onto the phone when I plugged it in. It still says disconnected and in the bottom corner it says "safely remove hardware" and it has the moto hardware listed under it.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I followed that guide step by step, I tried it twice

are you certain you have an L7???
try this:
remove your battery
press the * and # keys while replacing your battery and tell us your "S/W Version" and "BOOTLOADER"

Q have you tried another usb port?
if you are still having problems try another computer
*REMEMBER*
when you install the drivers its best to keep the phone disconnected from your PC until after the drivers are installed

I think this computer isn't allowing the hardware to be installed onto the phone when I plug it in. I'll go try my brothers computer.
Edit: How would I try a different USB port? you mean like the next one over lol?Last edited by MotoSnow; 12-28-2007 at 08:38 PM.
