can't transfer songs in itunes after a failed backup
i thought it would be a good idea to try the 1000 song mod on my slvr l7 (r4517_g_08.(4.25r) ... not a good idea i found out after reading other posts. i tried to do a backup of the phone using rsd_lite 2.7. i got some weird errors during the backup (can't remember them right now) but after that thought i restored itunes but i keep getting errors "the mobile phone can't update. the disk cannot be read or written to". this is when trying to transfer songs thru itunes.
anyone have an idea how to fix that or what might be causing that error.

Uhhhh.... I think that you have to use motoTunes to add songs to iTunes with the 1000 limit hack. iTunes won't recognize the phone.

set your usb connections to memory card and if still gives errors, change the a: to removable disk look for that option in mototunes.

I once had the same problem... On mine I had to do a MASTER reset AND reformat the card... After that it all worked fine, Tho after a master you'll have to go back and reset all your custom settings
BTW you will loose any purchased java apps, even if you save them to your PC Last edited by E-Dragon; 12-29-2006 at 08:37 AM.

NOW before you do anything else.. BACK UP EVERYTHING!!!
I even used moto tools and copied all the folders and ALL the contents of EACH folder onto my PC (BTW you have to make the folder tree on the PC first then use MPT to open each one and copy the contents)
Hopefully you'll never need it, but if you do you'll be glad you took the time to do it... Hmm I should do a tutorial on that...
