How to get Unlimited Video recording time...

No more lame 1 minute videos!

Are you sick of minute and a half long videos? Do you want to increase your video recording length?

I can record up to 512Mb (current size of my TF) of video! I have yet to use that much so I have no idea what the length would be but it's gotta be huge!
From the figures I have seen somewhere around 3 hours. Plenty of time to get the money shot!
Ok... so it is limited by the amount of space you have available on your TF but with the V3t being capable of taking a up to a 2gig card that is 12 HOURS of recording time!

I have read in other locations that you could do it by editing seem 004e_0001 but I couldn't get P2K Tools to pull the entire seem so I opted for the way described below which was flawless and easy.

I used P2K Advanced Editor to make the changes. It is located here in the downloads section.
    URL for P2K Anvanced Editor:
    http://www.modmymoto.com/forums/down...&id=140&page=4

You will need this program and P2K drivers installed to enable your computer to "see" your phone. If you are already using P2K Tools or P2K manager etc. P2K Advanced Editor should work for you without issue. The P2K drivers are available in the downloads section as well.

    Okay! Comfy? Lets do this:

Open P2K Advanced Editor and connected your phone.
You will know if your phone is connected when the box on the lower left of the program window turns from red to green and you will see your phones information populate the window.
Click on the Connect in P2K mode button at the top of the screen.
At the top of the screen locate Phone Services, click on this and you will find Video in the drop down menu.
Click on Video and you will get a Popup window.

In this window you will see a box that will allow you to set the Video Record File Size Limit. You can set this in kb or Mb. You also are given the option to record in MP4 instead of 3GP.

Click on "read from phone" FIRST before you make any changes.
Adjust the settings to what you want.
    Click save to phone.
    Restart your phone.
Disconnect your phone and enjoy your increased video recording ability.

WARNING! There are many other options within this program as well as the one described above. Play with these options at your own risk!

P2K Advanced Editor is very powerful like all of the other P2K programs out there so be cautious with what your doing so you don't brick your phone.

I have done this procedure on a V3t R3443U5 and a V3r R3343 both units T-Mobile USA with no errors or issues. I believe that this will work with any unit that P2K Advance Editor recognizes. You do this mod at your own risk. Please don't do this if you don't understand the instructions.

Public Service Announcement: DONT DO THIS WITH YOUR NEWLY MODDED PHONE!

    Happy Modding,
    RazrDyke

    Video recording and Razr V3T

I thought I had a Motorola T-Mobile V3t Razr phone, but I keep seeing all these posts referring to a Trans-Flash card and there is no such animal inside the back of my phone...could it be that I really don't have a V3T? Where do I search for the slot for a Transflash card, and how do I determine what model phone it is that I have?

With the uncertainty of knowing my phone's model number specifically, I am afraid of bricking my phone and being without a means of communication...I do have a slot for the SIM card.

    Thanks for the reply...

It didn't disable it, your available # is going to be different now based on how much space you set as your limit....

If you increased it to the same size as your TF then your counter is going to show 0 (zero) or maybe 1 (one) because you have limited the total # based on size restrictions.

Everything is just fine with your phone.....

P2K Advanced Editor doesn't seem to find my phone, I am able to use p2kman and p2k tools just fine though. Is there anything I should check?
