Changing CL.gif on the Go
original method discovered by Samsung

Download Seem 0061_0001 and use a hex editor like XVI32 to change the text string /a/mobile/system/cl.gif to read /c/mobile/picture/c.gif instead.
We just type those characters on the right side of the window in XVI32.
Save this edited seem where you can find it to upload to the phone. I like to use my desktop to start then if all goes well I move it to a safe place where I can FIND it later.

Upload the newly modded seem and overwrite both 0061_0001 and 0062_0001.
Upload some cl.gifs you like to /c/mobile/picture. Once the phone is restarted, all you have to do to switch your outer LCD picture now is browse through your pictures, name the one you want to use simply c and then restart the phone! Make sure you have the corect size picture, 96x80. Voila!

You can also change the target location to /b/mobile/picture/c.gif and use CL from your TF as well. I have tested this and it works on my V3t.

** If you are having issues make sure your seem 004a_0001 offset 27 is set to 00** I did not have any issue with my V3t...

spam. your work is appreciated, but post it in a new thread--this has absolutely NOTHING to do with reading your cl.gif from a transflash card. Next time is an infraction.

so cl.gif on the go works great. but when the "word" gif comes to mind what does one think. CRAZY MOVING PICTURES!!

razr i "found" a animated gif compiler on google and had my fingers crossed the whole time. everything on my pc turned out great. problem is when i uploaded it to my phone the freakin thing doesn't move!! it just sits there on the first frame.

i guess my question is more.. why? and less (but still).. how to fix this?

Outside LCD only displays static or not moving .gif files. There is no fix, this is the way it is. If you load a animated gif you see what you currently have, the first frame.

You can on the other hand make an animated skin... Check this out!

I just started using this hex editor. I've downloaded the seem from P2k Tools VS and saved it. I can open the seem in XVI32, but can't find that text string (even doing a CTRL+F). I'm sure I'm missing something easy. Any suggestions?

its on the right side, it wont be clear reading exactly because there will be boxes between the letters so it may be hard to read heres a screen shot of where it is
