thats pretty good.definately good for ppl that use their t-mobile g1 a lot. I bought the other battery for $49.99 because I use my t-mobile g1 alot. also the battery charges iphone as well. sucks as I dont own iphone or ipod. although the 1 on ebay is expensive but its 5000 mAh lithium ion. Last time I charged my g1 through ac adapter was 3 days ago as the external battery charges my phone while im in class or driving.

I rather go the "samsung blackjack" way and carry around an extra fully charged battery and switch it out, a lot easier.

I bought this from ebay and I want to let you know its the best accessory I used so far. verry impressed with the design. I charged my T-mobile G1 3 times and external battery still has power left.

I bought this one and it's able to charge my G1 one time to about 70% when phone is switched off.
Even if it's connected to a power jack it can't load the phone completely because the motorola battery has only 550 mA output. The LED lights up green but when I connect a 1000 mA charger the LED turns red and loads it completely.
PS: I really loved to have a motorola sticked into a G1

Just bought the 5000mah battery on eBay. Sounds like an awesome battery. I saw another battery extender that attaches to the back but the G1 is already pretty thick and more battery life is not worth the thickness of the other one...

I am using the "Innocell 2600 Extended Life Battery". All i can say is wow. Ive been using it now for about 3 months and finally i can use the G1 as its meant to be used. Yes, the phone is a bit thicker. But i can still carry it in my front jeans pocket when im not at work and its not in the black holster case.
Basically my day starts when i pull the phone off the charger at 7:30am. I run everything turned on, WiFi, GPS, 3G, various instant messengers and normal phone use thru the day. Finally when i sit down at my home pc about 8:30pm, my battery meter is in the yellow. I can usually get another good 45min from it.
All i can say is if you don't mind a bit thicker G1, get this battery. I love it.

i tried the 2600 extended life battery before. G1 is already really thick so thats why I bought IMP500 from ebay. I have been using IMP500 for about 6 months now. External battery still runs good and I like the fact that I can charge my ipod with it too.

also I there is another battery thats really good. On amazon it goes for $89.99 but I saw it on ebay for only $65. IMP500 comes with iphone and mini usb connector. but i-up 5400 comes with like 10 different connectors.
