57 bucks for a battery? I might as well just plug into my car! That battery costs just as much! LOL

the one that t-mobile sells has only about 35% of power. t-mobile one will give you 8 hrs of video while imp500 gives you 38hrs of video or 60+ hrs of talk time. it has way too much power than the one t-moible sells
jack you can always charge your t-mobile g1 in your car but if you're on vacation or on a business trip then you might need this battery. For me I use a lot of internet on my G1 so thats why I bought it.

ok i know you were joking Jack. I bought it and I love it. I know its expensive but atleast I can use my T-mobile G1 for whole day without worrying about battery life. I use it in college and like most people my battery dies pretty quick on the G1. I even charged my G1 for 12hrs when I first got it.
This battery has been helping me alot. Its definately for someone who uses their T-mobile G1 to play games, internet or youtube.
If you can afford it then its a good investment. buy it from ebay as I saw that amazon is really expensive.

This sounds like a really cool product. Can you post a picture with what it actually looks like attached to the G1? I saw the ebay pics, but those are just on the iphone and i couldn't really see it well. Thanks.

just some info. there are many sellers on ebay that are selling the same batteries without the mini usb adapter. Make sure it comes with mini usb connector because I saw most sellers are only including the iphone connector. also every seller on ebay charges different prices for shipping. cheapest price is 49.95 with $2.99 shipping. so make sure you're not paying more price for the same battery as every seller charges different shipping fees.
two listed links are cheapest and there are 2 more selling them for the same price so check for mini usb connector and shipping price before bidding.

its great for vacation, flight or in college thats where I use it. I don't know why HTC didnt make a batter battery. Iphone battery works a lot better but my T-mobile g1 battery drains in about 3 hrs when playing games or using internet.
It's definately a must have for heavy users.

I'm pretty happy with my Motorola P790 portable battery (1700 mAh lithium ion). It looks like a Moto PEBL, charges up a full battery 1-2 times I think. Of course mine was free so I didn't pay the ridiculous $49.99.
FYI it is on ebay for $14.99

After long delay... I have now made it back to the Android Market!
