The generic ones at walmart need to be cut to size. They are made of a soft vinyl and not a hard plastic, thus they scratch easy. Some of the precut cheapos on ebay are still hard plastic and will work fine. I have tried several, including the mirrored protectors.. all work better than nothing, but the walmart generic ones need to be replaced constantly.

Skin Protectors
When I bought mine third party it had a skinomi full body skin on it that works really well. Since February when I got the phone I've had to replace it once which isn't too bad considering I'm pretty hard on phones. Fairly easy to apply with a little bit of patience and it protects the whole phone from scratches, not just the screen. I have the dev model so I'm trying to keep the whole thing looking brand new. http://www.skinomi.com/tmobile-g1-bo...kin-armor.html if anyone is interested. Hope this helps

can you send a picture of how it looks like with the skin applied?

I'll try to help now and then but hardly ever answer through PM. Keep It simple and easy to understand for other people to understand. Hit the Thanks button if I helped.

skin protector
I'll see if I can get a picture for you, although when applied right it will be clear with no noticable marks. All the slots and button holes are cut out and it gives your phone a slight shiny or glossy look to it. Not trying to promote a company since I'm sure there is something out there better, but in my experience skinomi has been great. Just be sure to follow the directions when installing and don't let it stick to your fingers.

The Skinomi sounds pretty much to be the same thing as the ZAGG InvisibleShield, sold here in the 'States at your local BestBuy.

In my opinion, a screen protector is highly needed although official claims you don't have to.
You will regret that you could have done something to protect the screen before any damages happened. Which model you are using now?
