Every time I try to run CreateG1Splash.exe I get the following error:

The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click on OK to terminate the application.

I have Windows XP Pro (32 bit), SP3 and the HTC device drivers are properly inistalled. How do I fix this? Why does it happen? I think this is the same error several other people had.

Would It be possible for someone to convert my home made splash for me?

    EDIT:
I think it has something to do with my .net framework version... I'm looking into that now.

    RE-EDIT:
For those of you also experiencing this error, you must update your .net framework! I got it working now!

    ...

    < waiting for device >

Sigh. Why can't anything ever go as smoothly as intended? When my phone is booted up normally, in the device manager it shows up as ADB Interface --> HTC Dream Composite ADB Interface like it's supposed to. When I turn my phone off and start it with Camera+Power and hit the Back button to show FASTBOOT, now my device manager shows ADB Interface --> HTC Dream with a big yellow (!). It says "This device cannot start. (Code 10)"

I have the Android SDK 1.5 RC 2 downloaded, I'm using the USB x86 drivers and the tools from that throughout this whole process. My phone is running JF 1.51 just fine for a couple weeks now.

Does anyone have any insight into what I might need to do to get this working?

You get rid of it by flashing the old one and if you didn't make backup then search the web for the original.
