imnot connected to the pc when doing this and after i input cat, I get:

cannot create /data/local/bin/busybox: directory nonexistant

connect the phone to PC but don't mount the sd card, then try, everything should work.

Is there somewhere were I can get a detailed tutorial of how to install debian from step 1, because after days of working on this I need like a refresh of everything.

i don't think there exists another guide except saurik's.

This is killing me, I am determined to get this working, why would the directory be nonexistant if i am creating it. I am not understanding.

Hi,
I just bought a phone off ebay and I am trying to activate it via wifi
I got most things to work except one!! I already downgraded the phone and everything but i am stuck at the last 2 parts!!
'adb' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file
I have linked the path and everything and it still does not seem to work!!
Please I READ every article the past week and I have had no success
May you please provide a in detail tutorial or even better for all the people like me make a video tutorial?? You could use http://screencast-o-matic.com and give us the link

I have the adb driver installed, but in the command prompt I keep getting:

'adb is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

Am I missing something?

you have to add the path to the ADB folder to the PATH environment variable. Read here.

I have been following the instructions for SDK from the Cyanogen wiki and have gone through every step everyway I can think of and am stuck here. I have added the path and it is not causing the problem. Help please? The SDK also claims that there are no virtual devices available, even though my SDcard is currently mounted through the USB cable. cmd doesn't work whether the card is mounted or not.
