Removing Amazon
Assuming you have JFv1.3 (or an earlier version),
1.) Download and install droidsans tweak tool from the marketplace.
2.) When program opens click 1 to set the system to read/write
3.) Now open up terminal emulator and type:
su
rm /system/app/com.amazon.mp3.apk

didn't need the first line because it was already read/write.
second line worked perfectly though
so could this command be adapted to remove other system files? not sure what else i would remove but would be handy for future use :P

someone should try the my faves..
that program is kinda pointless and would love to see how much space is freed up. I would like to remove things that I have substitutes for.. like the email client.. (not gmail..lol)

Do *NOT* remove MyFaves!!!! Do *NOT* remove IM. Those 2 apks are integatedd in to the system. I are going to have all kind's of errors if you remove IM and MyFaves is set as a default contact manager in this build of Android. You remove MyFaves-you loose your contacts. Removing camera doing strange things too (like loosing the ability to change your backgrounds)
Here's the list of OK things to remove
Alarm
AmazonMP3
Calculator
Email
Music
Voice Dialer (*this one is questionable)
As always, back up everything before you remove it off the phone.
Good luck
