Thanks Uejji. I figured that out afterwards and kinda kicked myself for not thinking MD5 checksum! At any rate, the OTA firmware update sucked and started giving me some scary error messages, like "process android.process.acore has stopped responding" or something to that effect, and then would reboot 2x when powered down. So I am still on the lookout for the radio firmware update after downgrading to JF v1.42 minus the radio update. Any pointers?

The radio update is here: http://andblogs.net/downloads/RC33radio_update.zip. Note that this only needs to be installed once.

Power off your phone, then power it back up while holding the 'home' key, just like you do to flash an update. The top of the screen should say "Android system recovery utility Build: JFv1.42."

Thanx. Okay now another problem. Why is it when i download the baseband and rename to update.zip and run it. My phone states that it can not find update.zip. Or can not open update.zip.

Do whatever you did to get 1.42 to work. Make sure (using a PC, not an Android file manager) that the file is update.zip, not update.zip.zip.
