[How To] Activate G1 Without a T-Mobile SIM card

Ok so im in the caribbean an ive got this same problem right. Im gunna go an get the apn settings for my carrier an try this out.

If it works my g1 should be up an runnin if not is there any other way i can do this without the data plan?

you need a data plan to unlock the g1 phone unless it was unlocked by another person who did have a data plan. After that enjoy

Hi bro i have motorola charm from telus canada. I flashed it with T-mobile software. now it is giving me no service sing all the time. its unlocked and i tried with telus sim card to activate even change APN settings but no luck all the time no service.i cant register by any sim card but if iuse wifi i am able to register to google account but still NO SERVICE. what i should do in that case....any help??????????? thanks.
