Thanks a lot. I actually got it working using some of the cingular settings (port 80 instead of 8080 and HTTP instead of WAP).
Hopefully that didnt break anything, but I will keep the file you linked to just in case.
Thanks again

i know i have said this over and over in previous threads, but for this your operator is your friend....
all you have to do is contact them (or visit their website in some instances) and ask for a sim update.... say you got a new phone and you need the settings... they will ask you for your phone make and model and they should send you a network message or something that will automatically update your phone, adding their websession and some other settings you might need i.e mms
hope this helpsThe fate of this planet will soon depend on one man....

Hi I have the same prob but can't seem to find a fix for it. Can you post againg all the details of what you did to get it working. I have a Krzr k1, i've moded it, everything works but the mms...
i put in the settings you mentionned but still does not work. Error: Unable to download message...
Can anyone help?
I'm on Fido.
My internet works,
I have : Menu/WebAccess/Web Sessions/ then i can create a "wap" and "mms" session.
Then i have to go to : message center/options/setup/message setup/Multimedia Msg Setup/
I then have : "Composing MMS", "Receiving MMS" and "Server Info" where i have to put "service name", "server name" and "web session name" (linking to one created earlier)
Can someone please post step by setp what i should have cause i've put everything in but mms is the only thing that doesn't work...
Thanks
Never mind, i somehow got it all working now...
I'll track back to see what i did different.
But thx anyways the info here helped.Last edited by Piratao; 01-03-2008 at 11:27 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

@Black Thunder - In the case of Rogers in Canada being your friend, not so. They do not have the capability of sending you a file which automatically configures the phone/SIM. What they do is send you a bunch of text messages with the settings but can't tell you where they go. They advise you to call Motorola. Even Motorola Canada had me contact one of their authorized service centres, who wouldn't assist because I was adding the settings from another network, different from the settings that the phone came with. So, even though you have probably repeated yourself informing people to contact the carrier, in Canada, the carriers' support staff are of no benefit with respect to unlocked phones.

You need p2k Tools3 or a similar program, then you need to unrar or unzip the file with winrar or Allzip or 7zip, then connect the phone to the PC, make sure you have the driver set installed as explained in the guides to how to connect. Then start the p2k program, read from phone the websessions, add the Fido or Rogers one, then write to phone, then set as standard in the phome itself.
