How I Killed BL 8.29.

Warning This Has The Potential To Screw Up Your Phone If Your Are Not Careful!!

These are some of the threads I was looking at before I started downgrading.

1) Charge your battery fully!

2) Backup using Flash & Backup 3.
Note: You won't be able to back up the boot and PDS.

Heres a copy of the FB3 log when I did the downgrade process:

The first part of the log is where I set the ramdlr to the 827 ramldr, then quickflashed apristel's got noob? MP. refer to post #21 by Freek009 in this thread http://www.modmymoto.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7314.

The second part is where I set the ramdlr to the 827 ramldr, performed TP again and flashed R374_V3BL 07.D0.shx using the method in the above link Find file here: http://www.modmymoto.com/forums/down...do=file&id=784 or search torrent sites for Moto_V3&V3X_Unlocker BY

If there are any questions about how to do this I will try to help. All I ask is read carefully my instructions and read the threads I was looking at before doings this.

I can not stress enough how important it is to have a fully charged battery or two. The last thing you want is to run out of battery during this process.

With that said let's downgrade 8.29 to 7.D0 now

3) Charge your battery again until you see charge complete again.

4) Normally you don't have to TP on this part because it's the same method to flash a MP to the 8.29 BL without TP but I did it anyway and it may or may not be crucial but perform TP then proceed.

5) Open Flash & Backup 3

6)Click on Firmwares

7)Click Select file button

8)Choose Full MP of your choice got noob?(lots of free memory premodded) and Amnesia MP are nice.

9) Click Select RAMDLD button

10) Choose V3_RAMDLD_827_03FD0000.ldr from the archive attached to this post at the bottom. When the prompt comes up after choosing .ldr file type 03FD0000 in the box and hit enter.

11) Make sure all CG's are checked then Click Quick Flash Button.

12) Wait until process is completed successfully.

13) Next Perform TP once againhttp://modmymoto.com/wiki/index.php/Razr_v3_Testpoint <---Guide to disassemble V3 to do the test point.

14) Open Flash & Backup 3

15) Click on Firmwares

16) Click Select file button

17) Choose R374_V3BL 07.D0.shx

18) Choose V3_RAMDLD_827_03FD0000.ldr from the archive attached to this post at the bottom. When the prompt comes up after choosing .ldr file type 03FD0000 in the box and hit enter.

19) Make sure all CG's are checked then Click Quick Flash Button.

20) Wait until process is completed successfully.

21) The next test is to attach keyboard flex to main board and power up the phone it should power up fine. If it doesn't Go Back to Step 13 and repeat.

22) Next steps would be to Unlock your phone using the unlocking guide in the guides section.

Congratulations!!!! Your V3 is now Freed of 8.29 Boot Loader!

I got everthing from M3's Download section I think.

The whole key to getting it to work is using RAMDLDR for 8.27(one of the links in the top post shows an example of using the quick flash method to flash a MP. All I did was basically use that same principle combining it with a TP and quickflashing 7.D0.

Yeah it is cool cosidering it was my first attempt @ Test pointing 8.29 I had never had enough guts to do it but after not being able to do anything but seem edits and skins with this boot loader for the last year and half or so. The fact that I have another V3 for backup now in case my current one got permanently bricked and the great people of this forum kind of pushed me to go ahead try my hand at freeing this V3.

We have a saying where I work"Your not a Tech until smoke it." I work on slot machines and sometimes it happens some thing gets fried. Our attitude is at least is paid for. You just learn from yours and other peoples mistakes and it makes you better. Kind of sounds like M3 does it not?

I think it's complete just need some people to test out and replicate my findings. Can you make it a Sticky at least temporarily till we get enough responses. I want to make sure that there are no issues with the guide. I would test it again but I only had one phone with this boot loader.
