sendfax with V3 works, but no receive fax
in Win XP sending fax via USB Motorola Modem in RAZR V3r works out of the box. But receiving faxes I was not able to do.
There are are few Hayes standard AT fax commands, but I found no proper full manual of Motorola modem via USB or Bluetooth.
Is there a report on receiving a fax with Windows or Linux successfully?
I kind of doubt that.

FAX modem capability
well, faxing with fones that have actual fax capability (e.g. SIEMENS business phones such as S65, ME45, EF81 asf.) is hard enough.
google does not give you a manual for "Motorola USB modem" AT command-set, a windows XP device. The few AT commands it gives an answer to during diagnostics of UNIMODEM are laughable.
So I assume, RAZR V3 is not a reliable fax receiver and therefore no business phone.
but then, the RAZR is downto 35 EURO sellout from chinese ebay sellers, which is hardly the usual price level of business phones.
Siemens fones use Gipsy protocol stack for Hayes AT interface even on irda, yet their GPRS manager is hardly downward compatible.
The S65 GPRS manager was good: you could override it's mostly crappy "autosetting" but in EF81, the programmers screwed it and allowed auto-setting only.
small wonder "SIEMENS mobile services" are off now.
