Need help on p2k esay tool 3.9

Hi guys
I am new here and I have been unlocked various V3 so far and today I am trying to unlock V3 BL8.26 by using p2kET3.9. The problem that I am facing now is after downgrading BL to 07.D0 and using p2kET at the point power goes down and I have to disconnect USB cable from V3 and power on the V3 after completing power process I connect USB cable back again but computer does not recognize V3 is connected so I can not go next step. Do I have to do Testpoint for this? or is there any other way to resolve my issue? Please help

I've noticed several of the Russians' programs do not always dance gracefully with the drivers, regarding connect/disconnect. May just need to reboot PC. (Or stop/restart driver if you know how & which one.)

Also might try disassemble base & disconnect keyboard cable. Occasionally makes a difference for some reason - you will have to find some way to hold the battery in place, though.

May need to test point to get a response either way.

Other than that, give it a good smash with a hammer. Certainly won't fix it, but might make you feel a bit better

Disconnecting keyboard is while I am in p2kET program? if so, it is very difficult to do it.
Do you have any other suggestion?
Now Test point for this V3 I only have to do to get Boot loader mode? when do I have to remove it?

you do not need to TP. all you need is RSDlite3.9 and p2k Easy tools 3.9(Google for them)
in the downloads section you can find the flash file "BL_8.26 to 7.d0.shx"
download the file, flash it to the phone using RSDlite. this will downgrade the bootloader to 7.d0
once you have BL 7.d0 simply run p2kET3.9 and do the Unlock SP

in a few minutes you should have an unlocked v3

Thank you for your info. I have been using p2kET many time for V3 unlocking. but some how this V3 with 8.26 bootloader can not reconnect to P2kET again after turn on V3. p2kET starts off with enable unlock sp, define the phone type "V3 Razr" then click "Do the selected job". after this units turns off and disconnect USB cable from V3 and turn on V3. the problem is after this process that when I reconnect USB cable, computer does not recognize the V3 is connected. I never had this problem before. So I will get the error message at the end like below because of connection error.

what is the current s/w and bootloader version shown on the bootloader screen?? ( * and # power)

Since I downgraded my bootloader to 07D0 my V3 screen for bootloader is blank and I can not see nothing.
s/w version is R374_G_0E.41.C3R_B.
Now I did downgrade with Flashbackup 2.62 then I used p2kET3.9 to unlock it.
Should I use RAMLDR2.05 to downgrade like V3i with testpoint?
I am wondering downgrading is not sitting well inside V3 and that is why I can not reconnect V3 inside P2kET software.
Please advise your thought on this.

Hmmm, that is odd. it appears you DO have BL 7.d0, there should be no problem with the unlock.
the only thing i can figure is the s/w version as the culprit here.
you could try flashing an updated Stock MP from the downloads section and try unlock again.
flashing another MP will erase all info stored in the phones memory tho

another program to try is "Moto Unlocker". its an older one that is not reliable in all situations, but maybe for this phone it will work.
worth a try anyway. there is no risk using the old unlocker program

am i correct in thinking the phone is in working order?? (except for being locked that is)

Tried 2 MP files to flash and both did not make any difference.
I did noticed that when it is sending new flash I did not see any letter on display but one I did unlocked I saw some note on display when I am flashing new MP.
Then I load 07D0 bootloader with p2kET but it did not make any better.
Should I set BL to 8.26 again or what should I do to make it connect again during p2kET process?
I need big help?

this is a first for me. all v3 i unlocked with p2kET3.9 without problems
the only other suggestions i can make are, either Google for a program MS Tool 8 cracked and try to unlock using that program, or you may need to Testpoint after all.
i always try to avoid TP on the v3 because to access the point you must cut away some shielding on the mobo. only use this as a last resort.

Also I would like to know what is difference between TP method and flash mode setting by * and # and power on key. Can anyone explain me the difference?

Now I am trying to reconnect V3 after disconnect by using p2kET.
I was monitoring "device manager" for "Moto tool USB driver". when I did Boodloader mode and connect V3 I see this driver is activated by some how the process of p2kET I will not be able to see this driver activated when I reconnect USB cable. Could some one explain me about this driver? How it works? I thought this driver should be activated whenenver I connect V3 phone, isn't it?

I think I found the problem with this V3 trying to unlock. I have 4 of V3 and I started brand new XP installed and monitoring detection of V3 under device manager. All of working 3 units detected as moto V3 and created "other device" to install the driver but the last one which I have problem with just detected as USB drive and do not create the other device to install driver.
Is there any way to reset this V3?
Test point will reset this?

Driver installs 5 separate interfaces for P2K phones, I don't remember them all - something like USB Device interface, Test interface, Flash interface, etc. They are activated depending on the state of the phone; Operational (normal user mode) for calling, file transfers, battery charging; Flash mode for changing flex & languages, and Blank mode for modifying PDS area, which contains the basic I/O system (BIOS), serial data routines and hardware seems, including IMEI.

* + # + Pwr puts phone into Flash ("Bootloader") mode, Test point connection to ground during power-on is required to set phone to S-Blank.

Check firmware revision on each phone, should start with "R374" (just to be sure). This might be caused if you are using older drivers with a V3re, for example - label says "V3", looks identical, but f/w R3442. (Downloads section has link to latest drivers.)

There is no way to unlock a V3re except by unlock code. V3r's (R4515) can be unlocked, however.

If your #4 phone is in fact R374, then there's something wrong with it, either hardware or PDS firmware. Test point may or may not result in Blank detection. Even if it did, I don't know if the unlock would work, too many unknowns. Probably best to leave it locked rather than gamble against the eventual hail-Mary to the trash bin.

Hey guys and gk620, just to add to the situation here, just yesterday (literally) spent ALL 15 Hours (headache) researching how to repair the damn PDS lol. I do have experience on V3 modding since '08 but decided to do some extra tweaks on my phone until it went from a soft brick to dead brick, I was frustrated. Having the patience of the world, around 1am, after several version installs, programs and a XP boot to make p2k easy tools work, I was unsuccessful despite all of the successes under tonnes of topics on anything on "PDS" on this site (thank you modmymobile users and all the community.) I partially gave up UNTIL I booted back my regular Windows 7 (no p2ket compatibility) and insisted on a couple of topics, lol. gk620, if you consistently have the infamous "ERRORS" on repairing the pds under ANY of the versions 3.7 3.9 and 4.1 (forget 5.3), google search "p2k easy tools nowinscard" and run it (at least for win7 for me) and WHAT A RELIEVE. Once again thank you all people who posted and read through for all others.
