I know this an old post but my V3 Razr has T-2 torx screws holding the chrome hinge caps. I had to get a set of Wiha Torx screw drivers. Kind of pricey but made with surgical precision and now I go all the way down to T-1! Even came with a case to boot. My V3 Razr has to have the two hinge halfs totally separated to remove/insert new ribbon cable for video screens. The spring loaded hinge is very tricky to disingage and reingage. You can easily ruin a new ribbon cable and they are very unforgiving to rough handling while installing. I would like to say that the new ribbon cable is multiple layers now as to slide when flexed instead of bending which will cause eventual failure. Also I alway check ribbon cables by loosely attaching all of the componets of the device to verify all is working properly before final assembly. One more thing, the connectors on the ribbon cable when properly connected, you will feel a 'click' when pressing them at each end. they do not need to be forced for this. The connectors will never come loose if this is done correctly.
