What is the best means of backing up your blackberry contacts?

I want to move my contacts from my blackberry device to my PC as a backup. Can anyone provide me with instructions for moving the contacts from a blackberry to a PC? Also, does anyone know how to merge your contacts into an excel spreadsheet? Thanks.

Either sync with Yahoo thru your Blackberry desktop manager, or sync with Google thru the phone. Either way, you can export the contacts from those mail programs to whatever mail server you like (IE: Thunderbird, Outlook, etc)
