Blackberry not recognized
Hello guys
I got a blackberry curve 8530i and i can't get it to recognize with any of my USB cables, do i need the USB cable that came with the blackberry ? sounds kinda weird but i believe it's the only thing that i need.Anything you need please contact me thru Private Message.

Yes, I have had issues in the past with aftermarket USB cables.Dont plug the cord into a hub, hook straight to the pc. Use an OEM cable. Also, while connected to the pc, do a battery pull and see if desktop manager finds it as it starts back up.

Blackberry not recognized
My sister works for Cingular Wireless, and the two phones they have the most complaints and technical problems with are the Razr Phone and the Blackberry. If I were you, and selecting a cell phone, go to a CORPORATE store site for the cell carrier you have. Not one of those stands in the mall or a franchise store. Usually, say Verizon, they are in Circuit City's. They don't work off commision and will actually sell you a quality phone. See - the blackberry phone is a very cheaply made phone that they get a lot of commission for selling because it makes them lots of money. Get something better that will last longer.
