HTC Tattoo questions

hello everyone....i recently bought an HTC Tattoo and i have some questions:.

1) Where is the android market...i don't seem to find the icon for the app

2) How do i upgrade to version 2.0.....as i have right now 1.6?

3) how do i send and receive files using HTC Tattoo?

4) The volume is low...i heard of a program called "Louder Volume Hack"...how do i get it and install it? and are there any other solutions to the low volume?

5)i have downloaded some apps in the form of zip files for the HTC Tattoo, but i don't know how to put them since the HTC sync only installs apk's...i read that i have to "push" them? how do i do that?

6) How do i install themes on the HTC Tattoo?

7) do use GPS....do i have to open wifi or 3g?

8) how do i add a birthday date in the calender as in nokia phones?

1. Should be listed as "Market" in your appdrawer. if its not there whats your location?
2. No 2.0, you mean 2.1 or 2.2 which is the newest. You'll need to root the phone, so you can flash custom ROM's For now Im gonna send ya to XDA.
3. can Email, and Bluetooth. not sure about mms.
4. quite a few options in the Market.
5. Can only push/use .apk files, try unzipping them?
6. themes are flashed or Metamorphs, Root is required.
7. Yes. GPS needs data, wifi or 3G.
8. select a date and try menu.

2) how do I root my phone and flash ROM ?

3) I can't send and receive files via Bluetooth even after pairing with devices....and how do I even send? I can't find send in the options when I open a photo or song

1. Dont think you can get the Market due to your location.
2. The site that I linked you to has all the info.
3. I dont think you can send via mms.
4. Find someone that can send you the .apk, or search the web for it.

I really have no idea about that phone. I would go to XDA, as there might be someone that knows a little more than us here.

Good advice bro.

All androids are "basically" the same. If its apps you're looking for, I would install a barcode scanner. Google for HTC Barode scanner app. It should install directly from the phone. Then use it to install other apps by scanning the Barcode from the website.

Check out my Aria super guide in this section. I'll bet they will work for the Tattoo also.

can you plz tell me where i can get the 2.1 or 2.2 custom ROM's

and i rooted my phone and downloaded a new font. how do i get it into the phone?

you can find your ROM's HERE at XDA Devs

you can find apps online. just Google Android Apps. there are plenty of third party app sites, like HTCapps.com, androidapps.com, and you can find the Android Market HERE

hope this was helpful. you should also join XDA Forums. there is plenty to read and learn there too.... whatever you cant find here anyway
