Unlocking a note on my Shift

I locked a note on my HTC Shift and forgot the passphrase. Is there any other way to unlock the note?

You mean the unlock phone password you setup? A complete wipe and reflash will reset it.

That's not what I mean exactly. On the screen, there are default applications like maps, internet, settings, notes. inside the notes application, you can write notes and can lock them. I accidentally locked a note and I don't remember the password. I have to get the note opened so I was wondering if there was another way to open it, unlock it without the password. the pass code must be stored somewhere in the program. probably difficult to locate if at all possible. your best option obviously would be to guess or remember the correct passphrase.
LOL, maybe there is an app for that
