    ROOT fully gone?

i know this is the wrong spot, **dont move please** - no other part of this site gets any views it seems..

    but anyway

i rooted my samsung vibrant with this "one click root proces" and i started having problems *not because root* so i unrooted and got a new one.

i never had a different rom, all i had was SU persmission.

im just curious if i removed all traces of the root, i "unrooted" by just clicking the unroot button -wiped the sd & did a factory reset.

The fact is, is that the cliq section is the wrong section to post this in. Due to that, you will most likely receive little to no help there about a samsung.

Now, on to your question. You could ask whoever discovered the root process (or app that you used) to see if all traces of root have been removed.

Or try to run a program that requires root. Get a terminal program and type 'su' without the quotes, it should say. "Su: permission denied" if you've removed all traces. If it's still rooted then the superuser whitelist program should pop up and ask you if you want to allow root privledges or it'll go to a new line with a '#' at the beginning.

@azarcliq they will never even notice, honestly dont worry about it... As long as the physical condition is good, and its on old stock firmware, they wont notice a root, most likely they already hooked it up to the computer and wiped it already.
