AT&T Lg phoenix (p505)
Does anyone know if the LG Phoenix can be flashed with cwm?
What I do know is it can be rooted with SuperOneClickv1.6.5.
Also can anyone tell me if it's bootloader locked.
UPDATE:
For any devs out there if any of you want to make something for this phone and need a system dump tell me and I will post it.Last edited by desu dechi; 08-23-2011 at 04:05 PM.

Until a couple of days ago I thought that the Phoenix was the same as the Thrive except for the color and whether you bought it prepaid or on a regular contract service. But it appears that there is a slight difference.
Big News!
The Phoenix source code is apparently now available. One fellow has said that the only apparent difference between the Phoenix and the Thrive is that the Thrive can come with either a Hitachi screen or a Novatech screen. The Phoenix source code only mentions the Novatech driver, meaning that it never comes with a Hitachi screen. On the other end of the line-up the Optimus One only comes with the Hitachi screen -- so far.
Having said that, there is enough incompatibility between these products and other "Commtiva Z71" based phones that it is possible to brick a phone. See:
Help Unbricking My LG Phoenix (LGP505) - xda-developers
The following is where I would look for more information:
z71 Variants - CyanogenMod Forum
This is sort of the limit of my interest in the Phoenix for now. Hopefully someone else will add to it.

So we will have to just wait until someone takes some time to work something up. But, still good thing is it's rooted for now.

XDA Phoenix Watching
Apparently someone is starting to work on the Phoenix. This is probably the most important thread to watch for now:
[Q] LG Recovery Rom/Rom Making from source code for LG Phoenix P505 - xda-developers
Also, somewhere else I ran across some info and it looks like the Novatech screen is a bigger deal than I thought. It is capable of being set brighter than the older screen, so you can use it better outdoors in daylight.

Yeah, I heard that but I forgot where it was. I'm still wondering if it is bootloader unlocked? Anyway I will play with my other cellphones and cheer for the devs to install cwm on this baby.

First ROM for the Phoenix
Apparently there is now a loadable Firmware for the Phoenix. The following is the link to the related topic on XDA:
(ROM)CarloROM-ver.1.0(LG PHOENIX ONLY!!!) - xda-developers
At this point it is a fairly stock "Thrive" build but there is theme work being done.

Tried it out and it works perfectly the only thing it needs is a custom kernel and recovery because it gets an error from flashing p500 recovery from rom manager and the screen turns blue but, it works. Just need a kernel and recovery and thats it roms could be made for it!!!
