Tether two androids

I can't seem to find anyone who has done this, or if it's possible. I want to cancel my daughters data plan on her MyTouch. I would like her to be able to get i WiFi connection from my rooted Cliq XT when we're out doing things. I have tried Barnacle WiFi and Android Tether, but her phone won't recognize them. Is there a way for this to work. Any help is greatly appreciated.

i've never heard of it. tethering is usually done between a phone and a computer. if you find something, please share it so others have the info too.

IDK, I have an option for wifi hotspot in my settings, but thats 2.2. I've never tested it either.

It can happen, but, probably not with the cliq xt. There is a mod to make your phone find ad-hoc networks, which is what barnacle broadcasts. The problem is these moto android phones aren't able to find ad-hoc networks, even after following the instructions for http://modmymobile.com/forums/491-ja...rk-solved.html because there is no tiwlan.ini file under /system/etc/wifi. I tried before modifying one that barnacle creates and I still couldn't get it to go. I tried many ways but never any success. Not saying it can't be done, but that's from my try at it...

Edit: I guess in concept, you might be able to connect your MyTouch to the cliq XT, but probably not the other way around.
